Sari envy

Today we went to a store to purchase a kurta for Shae to wear for an ethnic day at work. Hannah asked if she could buy some clothes, too, and was dismayed with our answer of "another time".

She proceeded to recount how many beautiful saris our friend, Meneka (nanny for a neighbor's family) has. When I explained that Meneka didn't have the other kinds of clothes that Westerners wear (jeans, t-shirts, etc.), Hannah declared, "I wish I could be Meneka!"
