We stayed in the nicest hotel in Pushkar, the 3 star Jagat Palace. It was really lovely, actually, though the beds were a bit on the firmer-than-cement side and our friends got quite ill after eating from the buffet. Pushkar is set in a lovely valley and had the feel of a desert oasis. We passed sand dunes and some beautiful and desolate country en route to Pushkar.
