Ginger Tea

Usually taken in the late afternoon...

For 2 cups of tea:

1. Boil 1 c. water, 1 T. fresh ginger (smashed), 4 green cardamom pods (crushed)

2. Add 2 t. tea (black tea leaves) and 3 t. sugar (or to taste); "boil nicely"--my favorite cooking terminology. My best translation: full boil, "until smell is coming". About 1-2 minutes.

3. Add 1/2 c. milk and again, boil nicely. Enjoy!

The tea most people drink daily is sold with some ginger, tulsi (basil), cardamom and mulethi added. Adding the fresh stuff makes it fantastic!
